What should I expect?
What should I wear?
Clothes. That's our only request. We are much more concerned about what's going on inside of a person, than what they are wearing on the outside. Some of our folks dress up, while others don't. So don't worry about it!
What's the music like?
Our music runs right down the middle. Some classic oldies, some newer ones. Our goal with worship is to ultimately be singing songs that give adoration and worship to Jesus Christ.
Will I be asked to give money?
Every week we take up an offering. However, if it is your first time with us, you are in no way obligated to give. It's entirely your choice. If you call Metro your church home, then we believe giving financially to God and His church is the right thing to do as part of the family.
Will I be singled out because I am new?
You don't want to feel awkward. We get that.
Being singled out in church is weird. We won't do that to you. All we ask is that you fill out some basic information about yourself on the Connection Card that will be in your bulletin. And don't worry about that either. We're not going to bombard you with junk mail and phone calls pressuring you to come back. When you fill out the Connection Card for the first time, all you'll get is one quick visit and a bag of homemade cookies! Who doesn't like cookies, right? After that we'd also like to follow up with a letter, to say thanks for coming and to let you know how good it was to having you with us.
